Mother Earth Exhibit Featuring the Junkyard-Inspired “Poetography” of Janet Janzsen Now Showing at Baltodano & Baltodano LLP
For the past year and a half, Baltodano & Baltodano LLP has proudly supported local artists and local artwork by participating in Art About Town, a unique partnership between San Luis Obispo County businesses and Central Coast artists, whereby artwork is displayed in private and public office spaces. Art About Town is organized by the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art (SLOMA).
Currently, we are featuring the provocative artwork of photographer and poet Janet Janszen. Mother Earth Reclaims the Industrial Age: A Tribute to Man, Machine, and Nature is on display and for sale in our offices through February 14, 2014.
As described by Ms. Janszen, Mother Earth Reclaims the Industrial Age is artistic, historical, and hysterical and it makes a “bold and rusty statement.” A resident of Cambria, Ms. Janszen spent 20 years travelling and capturing images inspired by picket lines, national news, Los Angeles freeways, road signs, and in the case of her current exhibit, junkyards.
“As a daughter of the Beat Generation and keen observer of the absurd, Poetography has been an organic progression from a young age. The photographic image is the verse, the poem is the rust.” To view Ms. Janszen’s unique exhibit, we invite you to visit our offices during regular business hours (M-F 9am-5pm).
